Mr. McMillan practices primarily in the areas of civil trials, real estate and estate planning and administration.

Mr. McMillan has participated in many jury trials and non-jury trials in the Superior Courts of North Carolina and in the Federal District Courts of North Carolina over the past 39 years. He regularly appears in both State and Federal courts representing plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters ranging from automobile accidents to breach of warranty claims and corporate disputes.

Mr. McMillan's real estate practice consists of advising buyers and sellers as well as developers in both residential and commercial transactions. He is familiar with all the steps of property development and has represented buyers, sellers, lenders, and developers in all types of real estate transactions. Mr. McMillan also has experience in representing lessors and lessees in commercial office buildings and shopping centers for office and retail uses.

Mr. McMillan's estate planning and estate administration practice includes planning for the disposal of assets, preparation of Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorneys and other estate planning documents. He has extensive experience in the administration of estates and the administration of trusts and has acted as Trustee.

Mr. McMillan has acted as counsel for numerous governmental bodies including the Iredell Statesville Board of Education, the Iredell County Department of Social Services and served as a director and officer of non-profit organizations such as the First Baptist Foundation and acted as counsel for numerous local non-profit organizations including I-Care, the Silas-Alexander Sharpe Foundation and many others.
